Job Description:
We are looking for an exceptional Account Director to work on a range of clients spanning global and UK-specific campaigns.

You will be an Account Director looking to take that next step in your career. You will be able to work autonomously and highly collaboratively, possessing a strategic communications background, with experience in working agency-side on big brands. You will need strong experience in consumer areas such as food and beverage and have excellent verbal and written communication skills rooted in an earned media environment.
Client servicing
• Provide high-quality day to day strategic counsel capable of retaining your existing client set and converting new prospects to client management and counsel
• Promote a ‘client-first’ approach, working highly collaboratively across the business with specialisms of Creative, Digital, and Planning
• Develop creative solutions to a number of client-business challenges
• Support the development of resourcing plans to deliver highly skilled, yet efficient teams to deliver excellent work
• Provide industry knowledge and expertise and help clients manage the challenges of the changing industry

Communications marketing
• Support on campaign planning globally and implementation locally for a range of consumer campaigns
• Work with Edelman offices around the world to co-ordinate and collate insights that build successful campaigns
• Manage and build strong relationships with tier one and trade publications and social media influencers
• Develop high level strategic communications responses to briefs
• Oversee a team of competent and ambitious professionals who seek counsel and support
• Embed social throughout all campaigns

Essential Skills:

• Client Service - play a major role in the research, planning and development of comprehensive communications campaigns as part of an inter-agency team; help set client programme goals and manage against them; serve as daily client contact and as client lead when appropriate
• Account management / operations – Oversee quality and operational performance of accounts, ensuring work quality and deadline adherence. Help mentor, coach and support team members and ensure you and your staff are constantly developing abilities
• Communications marketing – Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving outreach plans, message development, management of events, effective pitching and media training and networking. Demonstrate excellent writing skills to craft internal and client correspondence, communications plans, pitches, media materials, and new business proposals. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends and demonstrate understanding of how they integrate into communications programs
• Content / social – Demonstrate practical and advanced understanding of visual communications, social media and the digital landscape and how to incorporate these channels into client programs. Generate original ideas for sustainable online community engagement, help integrate them into plans, measure and evaluate them to ensure they contribute to client goal achievement
• Financial Planning and Management - Demonstrate understanding of account resourcing, client relationships and budgets
