This role is focused on the exciting opportunity of working with publishers to improve their content offering to customers, while working closely with leadership teams in Luxembourg and Seattle to deliver on a range of initiatives.

Key activities for this role include negotiating new agreements, developing and managing strategic projects to help drive the Kindle content business forward, and managing publisher relationships to drive growth and operating results. The ideal candidate has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management, with proven analytical thinking, leadership, problem solving, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills are musts. The tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment is essential for success.

Within this role, you will -
Be an expert vendor/publisher relationship manager and communicator, who works closely with publishers to ensure Amazon customers can find any book on the site to download in less than sixty seconds at great prices and have an excellent experience reading it
Be responsible for the P&L performance of the publishers and books you work with
Become an ebooks industry expert who understands trends, competitive environment and readers’ needs and innovates in response
Work closely with leaders across the Kindle organisation – locally and globally – in ensuring that we continue to develop new services and product offerings
Basic Qualifications

A University degree, ideally in an analytical discipline
3+ years professional experience ideally in e-commerce, purchasing, start-ups, finance or consulting resulting in broad commercial awareness developed in a fast-moving
Ability to negotiate with publishers and influence leaders both externally and within Amazon environment
Ability to absorb and use data to drive fast accurate decisions for the customer including strong analytical skills with proven experience of Excel including Macros, Pivot Tables, etc.
Exceptional communication skills and ability to build relationships across levels of seniority
A great deal of personal initiative, creativity, and team spirit
Self-motivation and enthusiasm
Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree
SQL and Access skill
