The Finance Director is responsible for the organization’s overall financial plans within Europe, Pacific, South Africa, and Dubai. The Finance Director manages all financial controls and internal reporting. As a member of the region’s senior leadership team, the Finance Director plays a key role in driving business performance and achieving increased profitability. The Finance Director assists regional management in interpretation and analysis of financial data and ensures revenue accuracy and cost management. The Finance Director is also responsible for maintaining and improving relations and communications between the Company, TaylorMade headquarters and adidas subsidiaries.
Essential Functions And Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and direction for the Company across all Finance function, including Accounting, Credit/Collections, Controlling, Financial Analysis & Reporting, and Tax. In addition, position oversees the management of Management Information Systems (MIS) functions and responsibilities.
• Participate in the development of the annual region business plan and budget; monitor progress against business objectives throughout the year.
• Responsible for Commercial activities and collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
• Report, analyze, and interpret financial and operating data for management, including cost analysis, market niche reporting, profitability analysis, regional performance assessments and other ad-hoc analysis as required.
• Provide in-depth analysis and interpretation of financial data to monitor and report on progress of the region and its profit centers compared to business plan targets.
• Analyze records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses. Identify and communicate loss trends.
• Recommend corrective actions to stem immediate shortfalls while addressing long-term profitability issues.
• Document projected revenues and expenditures and submit to management.
• Ensure use of sound business practices and compliance with all applicable accounting principles.
• Interpret budgets and operating data for management. Advise management on matters such as effective use of resources and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
• Demonstrate strong leadership to develop a high performing team under the company’s principles and objectives.
Education, Training, Professional Certification And Work Experience
• Ideally educated to Bachelor’s Degree standard (or equivalent) with a professional qualification
• Proven work history in a progressively responsible business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the Company.
• Experience of working within the sporting industry would be highly advantageous
