The achievement of the University’s strategy needs to be underpinned by effective decision-making which is informed by more sophisticated planning and business intelligence. Lancaster has established this new role and function to drive these changes and our new Director will lead on the implementation of new mechanisms in strategic planning, ensuring that senior management and our Council are asking the right questions and identifying interventions to support longer-term decision making, aligned with the changing global environment and our own ambitions. The role will play a critical role in creating further strategic alignment between the significant strengths of Lancaster and our ambitious strategic plan, as well as working with senior colleagues to identify and capitalise on new opportunities.

This position is critical and will deliver both the cultural and structural changes needed in strategic planning and governance linking all parts of the University and ensuring expert, evidence based decisions are made about our ambitious future.
