Digital Marketing Director - Birchbox - London


Job description

Responsibilities:

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for building brand awareness for Birchbox, driving subscription, increasing user lifetime value and boosting eshop sales. The Manager will be required to develop the high-level marketing strategy as well as execute in a hands-on approach. The role will report directly to the Managing Director of the UK and will coordinate directly with the respective marketing functions in the US, France and Spain as well as the Editorial, PR and Brand Relationship teams in the UK.

The day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:

CRM - Planning, executing and analyzing email campaigns to support customer acquisition, retention, lifecycle management, box-related communications, brand marketing and eCommerce strategies
Paid marketing – Planning, executing and analysing a variety of paid marketing campaigns, including SEM, affiliate marketing, display, facebook ads, etc. Managing external vendors
Marketing partnerships – Identifying and executing online and offline partnerships to grow customer base
Social media – Working with the Editorial team to manage social media communications to engage and grow our audience and build a community around our brand
Strategy & Analysis – Forecasting, reporting and budgeting. Analysing campaign effectiveness, customer data and competitive dynamics to design the marketing strategy

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

5-10 years minimum experience in Marketing and/or in an eCommerce company
Exposure to ecommerce, including building brand awareness, presenting catalogue effectively and driving conversions
Ability to develop consistent and compelling marketing campaigns across multiple media platforms (SEO, SEM, paid advertising, affiliate marketing)
Proven experience in writing catchy, engaging communications to consumers
Track record of project management and delivery under tight deadlines -- takes ownership and responsibility for projects and turns ideas into action plan and execution
Ability to think strategically/ high-level and also execute the details of the campaigns
Experience in retrieving and analysing data, presenting key findings and developing an action plan from the findings – Excel, GA and statistical background a plus
Tech savviness and ability to learn and use new tools quickly
Effective communication style and ability to build relationships internally and externally
BA or BS degree in a related field
