Senior Financial Analyst - Amazon - London


Job description

Amazon is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to join the fast paced world of European Financial Operations. The successful candidate will be part of a team that ensures that our financial operations are prepared for our continued expansion. This will include working on a team that works with our Retail and Operations teams to ensure optimal business processes.


Role and Responsibilities

You will partner with a spend area and own the relationship and ensure best practice at all times
You will own the balance sheet reporting for the EU Non retail team. This is inclusive of commentary, analysis and resolution
You will be responsible for the EU Non Retail Debit Balances. Main responsibilities will be to recover Amazon cash timely and implement solutions to any root causes driving debit balances. You will represent the team at Global monthly calls and assist on cross team projects
You will be the process owner for all employee and candidate related spend. This will involve partnering with our offshore support teams and representing the EU on a global project to improve the end to end process.

Desired Skills and Experience

You will be expected to have:

Strong analytical experience and a desire to understand many different business processes
Proven understanding and experience of working in cross functional teams and across all business levels from Analyst to Director.
Excellent communication skills with proven experience of working with customers internally and externally.
A strong curiosity on how the various teams work together
A strong work ethic with an high customer service ethic
Can successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
A very self-motivated and flexible working approach

Qualifications:

Strong financial analysis experience
2:1 university degree preferred
Part or fully qualified preferred- CIMA, ACCA, ACA
Strong technical skills within Microsoft Office Products

Suitable candidates will have a strong work ethic, passion for working with people, analytical acumen, interpersonal skills, effective communication skills and a solid working knowledge of systems. Suitable candidates will be comfortable with ambiguity, working with large databases, making assumptions with imperfect data and presenting their findings to senior management. The successful candidate will have significant experience within this area or an equivalent qualification.
