Role Purpose
Suport the data core, edge or transmission work order end to end lifecycle for the allocation of the scope of work to the successful handover to operations incorporating the coordination of the delivery partner implementation and availability of VM dependencies.
Key Accountabilities
* Manage the delivery of the allocated works order, or provide delivery support to the nominated delivery management owner, ensuring that the required quality, time, quality and stakeholder needs are met
* Establish and maintain the required work order control and visibility including the update of the required work order trackers, issues, resources, change and cost documentation and records
* Place purchase order, stock and other installation material requests for equipment and services from internal and external suppliers, tracking spend and receipt of goods and services and maintaining a forecast and record of work order expenditure
* Raise, administer and progress change and technical accommodation resource requests to ensure that change approvals are granted and that the required technical space, power and cooling is available to support the delivery requirements
* Schedule the required design and build resources along with any required technical site or system access to ensure that the implementation and commissioning work can be performed to meet the required delivery
* Engage with the Design, Build and Deployment stakeholders to ensure the required work order deliverables are provided including designs, technical site power, space & cooling, materials change approvals and build resources to meet the required delivery outcome
* Proactively identify risks, take mitigating actions to avoid issues occurring that prevent delivery and where issues arise manage resolution or invoke management escalation
* Provide regular reports that provide management information regarding the status of delivery, issues, changes and enable forecasting of material and labour spend
* Create and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers and strategic partners to enable successful relationship management
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Experience of project delivery support in a carrier scale telecommunications or similar environment
* Programme or Project Management Support experience
* Computer Literate with good working knowledge of MS Office packages
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Knowledge of data, transmission and related core network technologies
* Previous experience of working in a large scale telecommunications provider
* Knowledge or accreditation in recognised Portfolio, Programme or Project Management
