FINANCE DIRECTOR, EMEA

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
LOCATION: Sabre EMEA Headquarters Richmond
REPORTING LINE: Chief Financial Officer, Sabre Travel Network (Dallas based)
Support and business partner with the Senior Vice President EMEA and the leadership team to help deliver earnings and revenue growth
Drive the budgeting, forecasting and commercial/business planning process across the EMEA region with a P&L of ~$400m in revenues

Provide strategic direction, commercial insight, analysis and decision support to the EMEA leaders on both regional and country level
Lead a team of 5 in London and 3 in Israel with responsibilities for regional FP&A activities, business cases and supplier/customer deal modelling; grow the team‘s capabilities, promoting high performance culture, excellence plus a customer orientated and collaborative work ethic
Able to get the right balance between support and control. Introduce effective and relevant financial controls, while enabling the business to achieve their growth strategy
Able to negotiate and agree deals at senior level internally and with suppliers / customers - can be effective with minimal backup if needed

SPECIFIC TASKS:
Regular FP&A deliverables include tracking bookings by segment and country; leading monthly EMEA business review with leadership team; monthly close - accurate completion on time, plus detailed variance analysis; monthly forecast - completion of monthly P&L and cashflow forecasts
Headcount Tracking - keep accurate / up to date records of headcount vs budget and plan. Ensure issues are addressed and that EMEA Executive team are kept abreast of any emerging issues
Market share analysis : provide reports / insight on share trends and drivers
Annual budget - responsible for leading budgeting process across EMEA. Coordination across multiple levels and geographies and across functions. Ensure coordination between local plans and corporate targets
Capex and facilities management - work with commercial colleagues to develop and review appropriation requests - track capex spend, ensure request have appropriate levels or review, approval, fit with budget
Act as a central focal point for Sales and Marketing queries on business performance and cost management, and other ad hoc issues
Incentive Management - ensure effective processes are in place regarding accruals of incentives, contract administration
Cost management - ensure effective control and review processes are in place to manage the TN EMEA cost base to budget and plan
Deal reviews – model and structure all material supplier and customer deal ROIs
New ventures / partnerships and market entries – support the business with direction on structure, financial modelling and diligence
Mergers and Acquisitions – help lead the due-diligence process and drive an acquisition from inception to completion

Desired Skills and Experience
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with broad professional experience in financial management and accounting
Credible and convincing at Exec level and at EMEA Exec team - able to set the agenda, show a deep and relevant understanding of the business and commercial priorities, can produce compelling recommendations for action and see them through
Ability to deal with multiple priorities and workstreams, leveraging resources from multiple functions, across different levels in the organisation and across geographies to work towards a common goal
Extensive commercial and financial management experience - preferably for an innovative technology business
Proven track record of delivering sound financial support to a high growth business with a proven measureable impact on key business metrics
Focused on improving profitability and able to challenge the status quo in the organization
Ability to self-manage and prioritize
Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, change management and interpersonal skills
Excellent skills in verbal, written, and presentation communications to all levels and types of management
Ability and willingness to travel
