Job Description
The Director - Product Management and Commercial Strategy will accelerate business performance by identifying and delivering on growth initiatives for the EMEA Tax & Accounting business and will work closely with the core management sales, marketing, product management, technology and client services functions of the business.
The successful candidate will have a broad responsibility across all software and related solutions for the EMEA business and covers both locally built and managed software solutions in addition to global platforms managed across the T&A business.

As the ‘voice of the customer’, the successful candidate will gather and analyse market information, and seek out opportunities in the EMEA market place to develop our vision, and communicate the roadmap to senior stakeholders.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Drive innovation and differentiation across the ONESOURCE suite of products to address current and future client needs.
Gather and prioritize client feedback, building a comprehensive understanding of client needs in order to drive innovation and increase client adoption and retention (runs client feedback/FECS sessions).
Influence product development by channelling back customer feedback, market dynamics and competitive intelligence to technical teams.
Develop comprehensive product definitions, concept proposals and business cases which result in marketable products and services.
Position products with the sales team based on market trends and developments.
Revenue planning and pricing decisions for new products (i.e. integrations).
Partner with sales and marketing to develop marketing and product launch strategies.
Effectively represent EMEA on global asset boards

Mandatory Experience

Experience building commercial, product and pricing strategies in a software sales market or equivalent field / industry. (such as Tax and accounting, software, ERP, B2B commercial software sales).
Strong commercial acumen with an ability to ‘think like a customer’ and experience in a managing extensive product portfolios.
Proven track record of new business sales achievement
Track record of successful project management
Ability to facilitate and present formal presentations at the executive level and demonstrated executive presence
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills for liaison with external customers and internal staff at all levels
Highly motivated with ability to drive results

Desirable Experience

Market knowledge in tax and accounting markets.
Experience of market segmentation and financial analysis.
Experience of client support, product development or consultancy.
Knowledge / Exposure to the tax and accounting profession.
Experience in running a business unit or P&L.
Prince 2 or CATM qualification.
Professional Qualifications (e.g. ACA, CTA, CIMA, etc.).

Key Stakeholders & Relationships

Reports into the Managing Director, Tax & Accounting Corporate Market, EMEA.
Management of at least 2 direct reports (Product Manager/Business Analyst).
This role will be part of the Senior Leadership team in EMEA.
Close interaction with the Sales team, US based Products owners and product managers and the wider business.
