Job description
Amazon Fashion EU is building an exciting new creative hub. The Editorial Merchandise Director will report to the Director, Brand and Creative EU, and drive the vision for the online customer experience across Amazon Fashion EU sites and ensuring the delivery of a dynamic, engaging and seamless fashion shopping experience across multiple countries and categories. The Editorial Merchandise Director will also serve as the pan-EU merchandising expert, leading the team that supports on pan-EU site merchandising.
This is a true “builder” role in that the Editorial Merchandise Director will own the execution and implementation of the online customer engagement plan, with a brief to continually iterate the definition of best-in-class fashion e-commerce for all of Amazon Fashion EU.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for the online fashion shopping experience and have a burning desire to find new ways to inspire and delight Amazon’s savvy fashion customer. Key to success in this role is the ability to create a vision for the customer experience through-the-line, develop and manage processes and programs affecting multiple geographies and teams, and offer inspiring and inclusive leadership and demonstrated subject matter expertise.

Responsibilities Include
Leading the customer experience vision across Amazon Fashion EU
Leading pan-EU editorial merchandising activities and collaborating with EU teams on best practices at the country level and across categories
Partnering with tech leadership to ensure our CX is best-in-class for our customer (Search, Browse, etc. etc.)
Working with the customer insight team (initially Amazon EU, and then Amazon Fashion) to design the projects and analysis which will inform CX development
Developing site performance metrics and reporting and drive improvements to build on those success metrics
Conducting in-depth analysis to measure effectiveness of CX and EU merchandising and continuously improving programs and site initiatives based on this data
Serving as a contributor in the creation of the Amazon Fashion EU marketing strategy and roadmaps
Possessing a deep understanding of all traffic-driving mechanisms (Search, Browse, etc.) and working collaboratively with sector specialists to optimize those channels for the business
Helping to create community and drive the adoption of best practice through knowledge-sharing and other strategies
Contributing to the development of the merchandising calendar and serving the needs of the business and protecting the integrity of the customer experience
Representing the category in large cross-functional or cross-category projects that serve major parts of the business
Actively maintaining industry intelligence regarding new products, brands, trends and markets, proposing strategies for optimizing them from a merchandising standpoint
Leading, developing and mentoring your team as individuals and as a work group
Experience leading customer experience and content management across complex fashion ecommerce marketplaces
Proven track record of leveraging data to support successful business decisions
Familiarity with HTML and XML
Bachelor’s degree
Demonstrated ability to define and successfully deliver complex projects with superior ROI—from business case development through deployment
Ability to deal with ambiguous problems and build solutions with proper project management
Ability to build and manage successful relationships with brands and vendors
Ability to lead successful cross-functional projects across category or departments
Ability to influence multiple stakeholders through the use of quantitative and qualitative data
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization
Experience managing a team of direct reports strongly preferred
