Senior Director - Channel Sales EMEA - Seagate Technology - London


Job description
Role objective
This position is a sales leadership role with accountability to drive channel sales and profitability across EMEA.
The Senior Director designs, develops and implements a world class channel strategy, ensuring that Seagate is embedded within the channel eco-system and aligns the business plan to deliver the strategic and tactical priorities.

Key responsibilities

Channel share, revenue and margin
Provides leadership to the channel team on the sales strategy, and disciplined process management
Accountable for business growth and achieves overall metrics (revenue, gross margin, customer and partner satisfaction)
Creates consistent Go-to-Market approach and leverages
Best practices across regions; including mid to long term channel strategy and plan; creation of channel demand and revenue plan.
Builds and manages channel infrastructure and support (Programs and compliance)
Internal visibility of channel strategy and performance: Builds long-term growth strategies
Provides strategy support within new growing value market segments
Provides thought leadership to the IT community and press.

Role requirements



Bachelor's Degree required
15 or more years of experience in sales, sales management, sales strategy design and implementation, project leadership, and channel sales
Demonstrated leadership ability: able to lead effectively in a complex environment, and deliver results; able to influence without direct authority
Able to communicate effectively across multiple levels in client organizations, Seagate and the industry
Able to establish a strong internal and external network to achieve deliverables, both through direct accountability and cross-organizational influence
Understands the key drivers that affect sales through indirect channels and how to use those levers to achieve desired outcomes
Able to orchestrate the development of indirect strategic sales plans that reflect Seagate’s business strategy to advance market share and penetration while achieving profitable growth
Exhibits authoritative business and financial acumen to develop meaningful business recommendations;
Understands Seagate’s portfolio of products /services and how the businesses work together.
Thoroughly understands the business dynamics within his/ her area of control, as a basis for informed business decision making
Brings a diplomatic approach to his work style; able to progress in situations in which s/he has indirect authority
Demonstrates strong communication skills; speaks to the interests and concerns of those around him/her
Critical thinker who analyzes information thoroughly to develop the best possible solutions for the customer and Seagate. Digs deep to understand the root cause of issues and consistently takes a logical, fact-based approach to decision making
Develops methods for supporting innovation and change across the organization
Must be able to travel 25 - 50%
