Desired Skills and Experience
The Business Development Director will be joining Meetings and Events at an exciting time with significant investment and planned growth. This role will play pivotal role in the development of the sales strategy and the M&E sales team in the UK. The Director will lead the sales effort and drive growth within the UK Meetings and Events space. You’ll be expected to prospect, develop and ultimately close potential business. To do this you’ll leverage available channels including our Business Travel, client management and your own networks.
Ideally, you will be from a Meetings and Events background, with an established network and a deep understanding of the industry. This expertise will allow you to position the Meetings and Events value proposition in the appropriate manner. You’ll have a proven record in the full sales cycle including closing new business. It is paramount that you’ll posses strong relationship skills at a senior level and that you can effectively articulate the offering. You’ll naturally be results driven with the tenacity to achieve aggressive targets. Proven thought leadership is also desired.
