Job Description:
Strategy Marketing / Digital Media Expert role is responsible for enabling marketing strategies, drive simplicity and streamline GTM through paid media best practices.by serving as a digital paid media subject matter expert for EMEA / MEE. In addition to driving paid media efficiencies and effective through the integration of all paid media activities in the EMEA/MEE this position will be responsible for adhering to data protection and privacy policies for paid media activity. Additionally this position will be responsible for on-going up-skilling marketing community on new media technologies and offerings.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:
Drive more sophisticated use / application of paid digital media plans to improve business results, integration of activities through remarketing and audience buying
Manage the paid media agency of record to ensure the excellence of media plan / activities.
Define and link audience buying abilities within media plans including paid social media
Drive enablement for paid media activities across functional groups such as sap.com, Omniture, CRM, etc.
Establish relevancy of new media approaches to SAP marketing determining if/how and when to bring them to SAP
Drive paid media measurement standards working across groups such as Digital Scale (attribution), BMO, Marketing Operations and Digital Services (owned and earned)
Emphasize a holistic paid media practice across paid owned and earned.
Manage media technology vendors and ensure alignment with Enterprise Analytics and the Marketing Tech Council
This position will require 10 – 20% travel to be effective.
Desired Skills and Experience
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 4-5 years of digital marketing communications hands-on responsibility for executing and optimizing paid search, programmatic, or other digital media tactics
Practical application of digital media technologies and how to implement them.
Strong analytical skills
Advertising agency experience or experience managing an agency
Experience with DSPs / programmatic buying
Knowledge of tagging and data capture (current data protection / privacy policies)
Conversant with existing media technologies including Omniture, Doubleclick, Marin, Google, etc.
Project leadership (medium-scaled projects)
Knowledge of various new media opportunities: HQL, Native Advertising (Blogging), Paid Social, Account Based Marketing
Knowledge of Demand Generation /Direct Marketing (B2B)
Excellent MS Excel skills
Strong analytical skills
Communications experience
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
MBA/Master's degree or equivalent preferred
