Job Description:
The Security Director will support the Vice President of Global Security and the Time Inc. UK management team in maintaining the overall safety and security of Time Inc.’s people, facilities and assets. This individual will manage security personnel and oversee operational security, asset protection and crisis management, and support business continuity. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to foster a collaborative approach to achieve strategic goals in a manner consistent with Time Inc. Global Security initiatives and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Direct security initiatives and strategies for various Time Inc. business units and brands ensuring security measures are aligned with and support the Company’s business objectives.
Assess operational vulnerabilities at Time UK locations, and other Time Inc. international locations, and develop strategic approaches to mitigate identified risk with proven integrated solutions and security best practices.
Develop and implement security plans for special events and conferences sponsored by the various divisions and brands of Time UK and the Company.
Manage Time Inc. UK’s crisis management efforts and review program initiatives to ensure global security objectives and organizational priorities are accomplished.
Refine security programs and procedures to maintain the overall safety and security of the Company’s employees – to include business and editorial travelers – information, property and facilities.
Oversee physical security and access control systems and manage the selection process and deployment of guard services at Time Inc. UK facilities, specifically the Blue Fin Building.
Prepare and conduct security related training programs such as workplace violence, travel safety and protection of company assets.
Oversee both internal and external investigations relating to all security issues including threat, misconduct, theft, fraud and due diligence cases.
Maintain effective working relationships with law enforcement, intelligence and other related government agencies.
Develop and manage security strategic plans and associated forecasts and budgets.
Desired Skills and Experience
You will possess expertise of the core concepts of corporate security, crisis management and business continuity – strong operational experience in these key areas will have been gained within a law enforcement, military or a corporate security environment
Your leadership and management experience will incorporate overseeing security programs and security personnel
You will possess strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication (both verbal and written) skills, as well as the ability to work and collaborate within the various Time Inc. business units and across all levels of employees, including executives.
Be able to demonstrate a high level of I.T. capability as well as an being an analytical/strategic thinker and a strong appetite, for information analysis
You will possess a natural ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with diverse groups of individuals and functions, both internal and external and adhere to high level instructions
Your resourcefulness and ability to efficiently manage and complete multiple tasks simultaneously is key, to this role
