Marketplace Analysts are highly quantitative, driven people who analyze and drive improvements in Facebook’s advertising business. This team partners with Sales and Marketing to improve performance for our largest advertisers via custom analysis that is then leveraged to create resources and tools. The team also works closely with Product and Engineering in order to understand Facebook’s complex ad ecosystem and share advertiser insights that will influence product development.
Facebook has the opportunity to reshape advertising and this cross-functional team will play a central role in determining how successful we can be. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook, interested in advertising, intellectually curious, a strong communicator, and able to move fast while keeping focused on high impact projects. This is a full-time position based in London but will be responsible for working with the Tel Aviv market (some travel will be required).
Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook, interested in advertising, intellectually curious, a fast learner, have exceptional communication skills and be able to move fast while keeping focused on high impact projects. Partner with multiple internal teams to drive deeper, more strategic relationships with clients through measurement and spend analysis.
Recommend product or positioning changes based on robust analysis of user and advertiser behavior
Analyze current business performance and identify levers for improving overall results across FB’s ads auction
Drive country specific market analyses and recommend changes to advertiser acquisition strategy
Requirements

Bachelor degree from a top institution in an analytical field (e.g. Economics, Computer Science, Marketing/Marketing Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance), PhD an asset but not essential
Several years post-collegiate work experience in a quantitative field or equivalent educational experience
Specific experience in data analysis / quant analysis function ideally from an online advertising business but other environments considered
Demonstrated problem solving ability with experience providing practical business insights from large, complex data sets
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and communicate technical content to general audiences
Strong SQL skills and Excel skills. Practical knowledge of packages such as R, MATLAB, Python or Stata an advantage
Fluency in Hebrew
