As a Business Analyst on the Google Play Analytics team, you will be working with multiple stakeholders across Play to define metrics and deliver insightful data and analysis. The principal goal of your analyses will be to drive better business decisions which increase Play store performance for the Apps and Games vertical. You will also be responsible for translating data into meaningful interpretations and recommendations and, where relevant, implementing process improvements. The metrics and analyses you develop will serve as a key input in product development and operations decision-making. In addition, you'll work collaboratively across Play teams as well as with teams outside of Play such as Legal, Finance and Marketing teams.

Responsibilities
Lead analysis for Play, focusing on product feature and user experience across Play verticals.
Partner with Product Management (PM) and other Play teams to provide data feed and product insights that will improve performance.
Work with Engineering team who create data pipelines to ensure proper dimensions and metrics are incorporated.
Act as a thought partner of insights and metrics for various business stakeholders across Play.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience as analyst or in an analytical role.
Experience working with data visualization tools to deliver results (Tableau, QlikView, Microstrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, D3, etc)
Experience in analyzing data and creating reports with spreadsheets. Database query experience (Dremel and SQL languages, etc).

Preferred qualifications:
MS degree in Engineering, Business, or a related quantitative major.
Experience in identifying opportunities for business improvement and defining/measuring the success of those initiatives.
Experience working with large and multiple datasets/data warehouses, with the ability to pull from such data sets using relevant programs and coding. Ability to to construct data analysis in order to answer business questions.
Demonstrated business acumen.
Solid business knowledge and understanding of online App store dynamic. A basic understanding of Android and Play Ecosystem.
Effective communication and presentation skills to deliver findings of analysis.
