Job Description:
One of our largest franchise partners in the UK, based in London, is now recruiting for an Operations Director to lead them on the next stage of their growth. The Operations Director will play a key role in achieving Customer Satisfaction and overall business performance, leading over 50 restaurants across multiple brands. As a leader in the market, the Operations Director will need to deliver against KPIs – Team, Customer, Sales and Profit.

The Operations Director has overall operational responsibility and is expected to spend the majority of their time overseeing the Ops team’s execution of Company Ops strategy. They will coach and direct their team as required, and conduct structured and tailored restaurant visits in which they coach and direct Restaurant General Managers to improve customer satisfaction, team development and overall profitability.

The Operations Director will ordinarily be responsible for the performance of all Restaurants in this franchisee’s estate, including leadership of other hospitality brands. They will also be responsible for programming in property and look and feel upgrades including image enhancements and restaurant refreshers and will work with teams internally and externally to do this. They will also have the HR function reporting into them to drive the culture in restaurant and improve people capability.

Key job functions include:

Defines the Operations Strategy, aligning the organisation & executing against it.
Ensures all restaurants have Operational standards above target
Ensure that restaurants achieve their Unit Contribution or profit target as set in the annual operating plan
Responsible for Health & Safety in all restaurants
Ensure that all YUM! and UK legal requirements are met for the restaurant employees including: the areas of recruitment, training, career development, pay and benefits.
Recruits, managers and develops the Region and Area Coach team.
Ensure the execution of all the marketing and sales promotion plans to drive sales and increase profits.
Represents all brands in property & business community.
Interfaces with Yum’s operations team on strategic initiatives and manages day-to-day relationship on operations initiatives.
Leads programme planning in property, including image enhancements and restaurant refreshers.
Manage the HR function, driving capability and upgrading talent.
Desired Skills and Experience
Education; Ideally you will be degree qualified but this is not essential.



Experience; Those who have previously joined us in Operations have come from many diverse backgrounds; from supermarkets and pubs to high street retailers. We look for pace of progression, breadth of exposure, tangible breakthrough results, ambition and a desire for career progression.

Degree level education would be an advantage but not essential
Full driving licence
