Amazon is seeking a Senior User Experience Researcher, based in London, UK. You will join an expanding team which analyzes Amazon’s end-to-end customer and seller experience in the worldwide consumer business and will present business recommendations in order to drive changes, to solve the identified issues, and eventually to achieve our vision: Earth's Most Customer-Centric Company.
The Customer Experience team is responsible for measuring, comparing, and analyzing the end-to-end customer and seller experience from product discovery to delivery and after sales services. We work with business owners across Amazon to drive customer experience improvements.

As an ideal candidate, you have a deep understanding of user research methods and best practices, but you also have a nimble, creative and pragmatic approach. You are a passionate, curious researcher with uncanny observational and analytical skills, the ability to collaborate with other teams, and a relentless determination to do what is right for customers. You can work with minimal direction while delivering high-quality outputs.

Key responsibilities
Plan and execute end-to-end Customer Journey Insights studies which result in impactful customer experience enhancements, focused on the Amazon’s global consumer business.
Own and drive customer research studies across multiple product lines (e.g. media, consumer electronics, apparel, etc.) and departments including all scoping, design, data collection, data analysis, recommendations and presenting results to senior management worldwide.
Create a research roadmap and executional plan for countries with Amazon presence WW.
Build and continuously improve a robust and thoughtful approach to gather customer insights and collaborate with Amazon’s Market Research and Usability teams to align on methodology.
Build and manage vendor relationships with research agencies.
Work cross functionally with peers/colleagues globally to support training, best practices, and shared opportunities.
Basic Qualifications

7+ years of proven success leading user research projects with demonstrated impact
A BS or equivalent degree in business, psychology, cognitive science, Human Factors etc.
Hands-on experience with: lab-based user testing, ethnographic research, benchmarking, survey design, etc.
Exceptional behavioral data-collection and analysis skills, (e.g., designing, conducting, and analyzing all kinds of user data.)
Ability to meet ambitious deadlines and deliver high-quality work on schedule, including quickly turning around study plans and reports
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and good business judgment
Proven history of having worked across cross-functional teams and functions.
International research experience, with experience in managing vendors and partners in locales around the globe would be advantageous.
Ability to travel internationally.
Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree (e.g. MS in Human Factors, HCDE, or Cognitive Psychology)
Retail/E-commerce research experience in a global context
Fluency in another language besides English preferred
Self-starter, possesses flexibility to work in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations
Passion for customer experience combined with business curiosity and a strategic viewpoint
