Amazon is seeking a talented, passionate Localisation Program Manager for Portuguese to join our growing Amazon business. You will work collaboratively with product managers, UX designers, project managers, QA managers and other localization specialists to create a localized experience that feels native to the local customers.
Our environment is fast-paced, and requires someone who is a self-starter, detail-oriented, customer obsessed and comfortable working with international teams, partners, and management. The candidate should have a track record of delivering results and use data to drive their communication with stakeholders. The candidate should be able to resolve issues with reduced guidance.

Major responsibilities:
You own UI text and messaging Localisation into Portuguese for Amazon ensuring a high quality and compliant localized Amazon experience which attracts Portuguese-speaking customers.
You determine the terminology and linguistic style for Amazon.
You perform localisation tasks and manage external translation vendors to consistently raise that bar on localisation quality.
You handle linguistic QA testing across all Amazon compatible devices.
You work with international teams along the product lifecycle (Product, Design, Engineering and QA) to address issues and to improve scalability of our localisation workflows. You support the implementation of improved localisation tools and processes.
You project manage localisation of new products and features, seeking operational support from other localisation specialists as well as translation vendors.
You manage and improve localisation success metrics in collaboration with other localisation managers.
Basic Qualifications
Extensive experience in text localisation into Portuguese
Portuguese native speaker and excellent English skills, both written and verbal
Proven experience in localizing products and features into Portuguese and excellent editor skills, especially when it comes to technically complex topics
Project management skills and the ability to work on different projects in parallel
Outstanding communication, problem-solving and organizational skills
Attention to detail and passion for delivering a great customer experience
Desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
Quick learner with hands-on mentality
Sound knowledge on Microsoft Office applications and basic technical understanding
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with content localisation systems and Content Management Systems
Experience in e-commerce/online business
