We are looking for a Director of Global Product Management that will own Content product strategy across the global Expedia platform and brands. This will include establishing a view of how to leverage content to drive traffic growth and conversion across the portfolio of BEX Group brands, as well as developing internal content management tools and analytical capabilities. You will be responsible for articulating a long term product strategy, driving all phases of product initiatives and building solid collaborative relationships across the organization. You must be able to clearly communicate issues, ideas and concepts both verbally and in written form between business and technical parties.

Responsibilities:
Establish a Product vision and strategy that will drive traffic growth and conversion across all BEX Group brands; evangelize this vision across the BEX Group to gain full organizational support and ensure successful execution.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements and prioritize appropriately
Work closely with external partners to enhance our product offerings; manage these critical relationships to ensure product quality and partner satisfaction over the long run.
Establish the product vision, business goals, product roadmap, A/B testing strategy and global rollout plans across the Expedia platform; Refine and build the assigned product offerings over time in order to achieve and maintain product efficiency.
Design and implement product A/B testing strategy, including test design, partnering with designers, developers and QA on execution, detailed analysis of business impact, and lead executive communication on results.
Regularly presenting, championing and reporting on the Product strategy to a variety of stakeholders in order to engage teams across the organization in support of achieving business goals.
Collaborate with the User Experience team, developers, and QA to identify feature details and create user stories for implementation; manage UAT for projects that impact managed products; identify gaps or conflicts in requirements; manage risks & UAT defects and drive toward resolution.
Manage trade-offs between cost, schedule, and business benefit, and ensure successful delivery of set features to production that meet both internal and external customer needs.
Liaise between all business owners utilizing products to ensure clear communication and understanding of product offerings and upcoming changes.
Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, product & technology developments, and consumer demand.
Mentor and lead global product managers on best practices, improving key skills and shipping maintainable functionality smoothly.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
Significant experience managing software products, including a deep knowledge of software development methodologies, gathering business requirements and turning them into detailed functional design specifications
Significant experience hands on software development experience preferred; alternatively, demonstrated understanding of typical technology architecture for high-volume websites.
Exceptional grasp of business strategy and technical concepts, proven by experience.
Prior experience in digital content strategy, content management systems and / or web-based viral projects
Experience translating business strategy into a detailed product roadmap, with a measurable, long-term positive impact on business performance.
Experience managing a portfolio of technology products and/or projects and driving change from inception through delivery; this includes demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively and thrive in a dynamic and complex environment
First-class leadership and influencing skills, including experience working within a large matrix organization.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive execution against project milestones and deliverables.
Previous experience in online retail management, ecommerce site analytics and content management. Experience in online travel preferred.
Experience managing a large team
Experience launching and managing e-commerce websites in multiple languages
A strong understanding of and experience working in the travel industry
Experience managing multiple lines of business across different locations – specifically Canada, LATAM and Asia
Experience with social media content and using this to engage customers
