The Director of Diversity, Leadership & Organisational Development EMEA is a unique fusion of three areas. The role is responsible for embedding diversity into our DNA, diagnosing, designing, and delivering development initiatives, as well as acting as a P&O Business Partner for a client group in EMEA, where needed.
This position concentrates on collaboration with the other EMEA P&O Business Partners in identifying and analysing individual, group and organizational performance deficits and development needs, as well as identifying and crafting strategies and programs to improve organizational effectiveness which respond to changing business needs.

The four key areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to the following:
Strategy (10%):
Evaluate the right Diversity and L&OD strategy for EMEA based on the long-term talent needs of the business and strategy of the organisation in order to sustain success. This will be by understanding internal and external macro trends, conducting gap analysis, and subsequently developing an implementation plan.
Diversity (30%):
This role is the lead advocate for all diversity initiatives in EMEA which currently include increasing employee awareness, supporting the Women of Action & Vision group, engaging with the House of Commons BAME consultation group and hosting the Global Diversity Forum on behalf of Mercer. Also embedding diversity in every aspect of P&O such as recruitment, talent planning and data analytics.
Learning & Organisational Development (40%):
In conjunction with the EMEA P&O Business Partners, this role will foster collaborative relationships to identify and develop learning needs and development initiatives. This role will be responsible for the implementation activities, project management, vendor management, resource coordination and budget allocation.
Act as and engage with the EMEA P&O Business Partners as a performance consultant to evaluate individuals and groups and establish a viable plan to optimise effectiveness. Utilise the Sony Development tool C3 as a structure to support individual and organizational development.
Understand the talent needs of all lines of business and how the P&O Business Partners can best support their areas. Proactively identify talent issues before they impact the business by facilitating talent planning and supporting the crafting of individual development plans for strategically critical talent. Identify potential career paths which would expedite executive development and build talent pools across the organisation.
Support the development of the next generation of leaders and help drive initiatives focused on increasing leadership accountability and effectiveness across EMEA.
Develop a deep understanding of all lines of business while educating and supporting via L&OD services, goals and initiatives.
Oversee all executive coaching activity within EMEA, maintain a network of both internal and external coaches and facilitate the matching of coaches to executives, as needed. This role would also monitor the progress of coaching assignments and ensure prudent adherence to budgets.
P&O Business Partner (20%):
Provide Business Partnering for a Client group. This includes managing employee enquiries, consultation processes, disciplinaries and grievances, job design and knowledge of employee policies, benefits & payroll for your client group. Provide coaching and advice on aligning their people strategy to the business strategy. Share relevant insights and analytics with your clients to drive action regarding people matters.
Preferred Qualifications and/or Experience
Minimum Education: BA or BS in HR or relevant discipline required;
Typically 8 years’ experience in Performance Consulting / Business Partnering / Learning / OD / Counselling is required.
Experience as a HR professional within a large, complex organisation is required; EMEA experience is a plus.
Global perspective and an ability to work with diverse cultures
Ability to effectively communicate with and adapt to diverse audiences
Certifications in Lominger Leadership Architect and related tools highly desired
Must be willing and able to work and travel internationally as needed
Demonstrate effectiveness as a Business Partner to a client group
European languages such as German, Spanish, and Italian desirable
Experience of offering development solutions utilising various delivery methods.
Experience managing budgets and vendors desirable
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
Inspire others and lead change through building rapport and demonstrating passion
Evidence of strong influencing skills
Strong general business / corporate acumen
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
