The Director of Marketing, Financial Market Technologies is responsible for developing and executing on marketing strategies, plans, messaging and tactics that support global, cross-divisional priorities for Financial Markets Technologies (FMT) products and solutions. This includes providing global leadership to supporting team members, as well being the lead representative to other IHS Markit business lines marketing to FMT customers.
Duties & Accountabilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a proactive and integrated marketing strategy for the Financial Markets Technologies division.
- Use the full scope of marketing tactics to deliver targeted campaigns that produce and nurture high quality sales leads to support the Financial Markets Technologies division.
- Work with product and sales to understand business requirements and articulate the go-to-market strategy for new and existing products. Keep abreast of the current competitor market to identify unique positioning opportunities.
- Identify and articulate key strengths and capabilities in all messaging and content deliverables.
- Partner with the broader central marketing and communications teams on content development, marketing campaigns, media engagement, event coordination, planning and execution of customer and trade show events, digital strategies and public/analyst relations.
- Track, measure, analyze and refine program activities and effectiveness.
- Monitor competitive activity and provide ongoing input to competitive intelligence.
- Participate at the senior management level to include, as necessary, assessment of overall strategy, financial targets and goals for major initiatives.
Business Competencies
Education and experience


- Strong Fintech/Regtech background
- Experience developing and implementing content marketing strategies centred around Fintech products and solutions
- Global financial markets knowledge
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Proven experience with a BA, BS or equivalent; MBA beneficial
- Outstanding written and spoken English

Commercial awareness


- Ability to negotiate contracts and foster relationships with key suppliers
