The Commercial Technology Business Solutions Director/Senior Director (Product Leader/Senior Product Leader) reports to the Head of Business Solutions, Liability, Property and Specialty Risks or Financial Lines and Multinational. She/he is responsible to assist the Head of Business Solutions in coordinating with stakeholders the business strategy, developing solutions to support the strategy, owning substantial portions of product development, and leading qualitative and quantitative aspects of the product development effort. He/she will build high-level relationships with internal business stakeholders at all levels, and with potential external stakeholders at start-ups, universities and established global companies.
Job Responsibilities
• Assist the Head of Business Solutions and senior executives to formulate a business strategy and define opportunities that can be enabled through technology
• Monitor business and technology trends to assess the impact on Commercial Insurance businesses and AIG’s applications/project portfolio
• Assess and prioritize ideas for investment and prototyping based on business and technology enablement opportunities
• Seek opportunities to cooperate with third parties to upgrade AIG’s own capabilities or access new distinctive data sources
• Act as a product manager for business solutions (refer to Product Manager descriptions for more detail), and partner with Application Delivery and Global Rollout leads to plan, define and implement business solutions
• Lead and review statistical / data / financial analyses
• Assist the Head of Business Solutions in managing resources, scoping, budgeting, etc.


Position Requirements:



Extensive experience in Product / Program Management role in global financial services organizations

Demonstrated business and technical expertise in business architecture and capabilities management, UX design, business process and information flows, high-level system and data designs

Work with the business and IT stakeholders to identify business needs / priorities, desired capabilities, high-level requirements, high-level requirement.

Ability to take initiative to move projects/assignments forward, independently consider options/alternatives and make informed recommendations to stakeholders.

Evaluate and prioritize ideas for investment and prototyping based on business and technology enablement opportunities

Demonstrated ability to lead programs though rapid change and delivery cycle using Agile methodology

Strong business management focus / skills with effectiveness in developing and managing tasks to achieve target dates in partnership with Application Delivery and Global Rollout teams

Ability to function effectively manage multiple priorities in fast paced environment to meet business objectives

Experience managing business and IT stakeholder communication and issue management (identification, prioritization, resolution, escalation, etc.)

Experience evaluating business and technology trends to assess the impact on businesses and applications/project portfolio. Seek opportunities to engage with external parties to enhance current capabilities

Excellent verbal and written presentation skills; experience developing executive-level presentations using MS Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, etc.))

Experience and ability to work as a part of distributed team and independently with minimum supervision

Candidate is expected to travel to other global AIG locations as needed individually or with the project team
