Job description
The Director of Client Engagements (Business Development) will be responsible for providing ongoing continuous relationship management with a limited set of Evidera’s Strategic Accounts to: develop a trusted advisor relationship with these clients, to ensure that customer needs are not only met but anticipated with respect to the Evidera suite of products and services, and to perform liaison functions between the customers and the various business and project teams within Evidera.
The Director of Client Engagements will be responsible for the identification of specific cross-sell and up-sell opportunities at these customers. Success in this position will be measured by revenue growth and delivery success within these key accounts.
Establish and grow relationships within Evidera Strategic Accounts at the VP/SVP levels by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the customer’s business and Evidera service offerings
Become a trusted advisor to Evidera customers to assist customer understanding of industry trends and opportunities
Identify and up sell opportunities in those customers to expand the Evidera footprint across various practice area groups.
Understand customers’ business strategies, roadmaps and the key challenges they face today and recognize how to map them to Evidera solutions.
Serve as a “Hands On” Account Owner of 3 to 5 strategic clients with both breadth and depth of knowledge as to their internal operations and direction.
Build account plans and maintain and exceed account targets, communicate account strategies, project pipeline and client strategic direction to internal stakeholders
Ensure sales proposals are delivered by scientific staff on time and with appropriate content, and where necessary ensure statements of work are completed for sold projects.
Manage contractual and financial relationship with client.
Serves as a trusted advisor to VP/SVP level executives through highly competent consulting skills and techniques. Creates client relationship strategy and plans to establish new relationships while strengthening existing relationships.
Act as internal client advocate for all account activity
Provide a single escalation point for all delivery issues from the team, client stakeholders and Evidera stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Experience
Success in building relationships at all levels within customer organization
Very strong experience of enterprise consulting delivery and sales and/or executive account management with proven client relationship skills at the highest levels within customer organizations, preferably within the life sciences area
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
Strong analytic ability to assess customer needs and map them to the Evidera services
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
Significant track record of proven leadership abilities
Ability to work efficiently across multi-disciplinary teams with competing priorities
Organized, self-motivated, hard-working problem-solver who is able to identify and define appropriate objectives and work independently toward achieving those objectives.
Excellent presentation and communication skills. Can demonstrate storytelling capabilities
Market savvy with well-developed negotiating and closing skills
