Director - Communications Planning - Media Business - Maxus - London
Job description
This is most certainly a career defining role for a communications planning expert with a passion for big ideas who is wanting to work on a very open and clued up client doing lots of cool stuff! This is a high profile role reporting into a Managing Partner within the agency.
Maxus is the newest and fastest growing global media network. We are proud to retain a small agency culture with all the benefits of the support of a larger agency network including GroupM and WPP.
Maxus was born in the digital age. The way we work, the way we plan and buy media is shaped by this, and all of our work is integrated by default as well as design. We are proud to work with an exciting portfolio of clients including Arcadia, Associated British Foods, Barclays, BT, Fiat Group Automobiles and L’Oreal.
Desired Skills and Experience
We are looking for a confident and ambitious Business Director to join our team and lead communications planning on one of our largest and most high profile pieces of business. The Business Director will have overall responsibility for planning across all media channels.
This is a great opportunity for someone ambitious as the position reports directly into a Managing Partner and so there is plenty of visibility, and space to grow and promote your career.
The team is very collaborative and supportive and the client is doing lots of cool things at the moment, with new products and initiatives emerging which you would not usually relate to a client in this sector. The client is very open to new and experimental ideas; anything different from the norm… and that’s exactly what they will be wanting to see from this Business Director in addition to leadership on mainstream activity.
The successful candidate will have a strong media agency background, and a wealth of experience in comms planning. An interest and understanding of digital channels is key, and you will be hungry to broaden your media experience across new and emerging channels.
We require someone who is very well organised, and someone with an opinion they are prepared to discuss, and then back up. The ideal sector experience to transfer into this role will be of anything rooted in consumer – FMCG, retail, Automotive or financial services are examples.
This position will suit an engaging and ambitious individual who is looking for a business lead role; someone confident working closely with senior clients, with strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire everyone around you.
