General Manager - Communisis - Liverpool

Job description
We are looking for a General Manager to join us in Liverpool and oversee a thriving manufacturing and commercial site, implementing strategies to ensure that we continue to exceed client expectations. Our Liverpool office is a flagship site for our Produce business arm, responsible for delivering complex and highly personalised print communications projects for some of the largest companies in the world.

As General Manager, you’ll ensure financial targets are met for the Liverpool site, through maximising the site’s output whilst looking into viable options to help minimise costs of production. You’ll manage commercial activities and develop lasting relationships with key client stakeholders to ensure our customer’s contractual requirements are met in full. You’ll report into our Group Operations Director, and work closely with him to assess our product mix against profitability and efficiency ideals, as well as identifying and prioritising machinery and other technology requiring investment.

Desired Skills and Experience
We’re looking for someone with a real flair for manufacturing excellence, client service and sound commercial judgement. You’ll need to be able to demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, as well as experience developing the careers of those reporting directly into you.

The right candidate will have extensive experience managing the profit and loss of a significant batch manufacturing site or sites for a world-class manufacturing company. You’ll be degree educated or equivalent, preferably in engineering or similar, and come with a good understanding of how to simplify and streamline manufacturing operations.
