Role Description
We are seeking a People and Change Director with extensive experience of working within Financial Services to lead the team of circa 30 Change and HR professionals (and growing).
This is a high profile role, with accountability for the development and delivery of the FS People and Change strategy; requiring a balance of business development / sales origination, client delivery and leadership.
The FS People and Change Director will:
- Sit on the leadership team of People and Change representing the FS Market and be part of the cross-functional leadership community of Directors and Partners within Financial Services
- Work closely with Partners and Directors across Management Consulting to: drive business growth; deliver outstanding client work; and be the face of P&C within the Financial Markets
- Lead the senior level conversations on the People and Change agenda with our Banking (investment and Retail) clients
- Drive the focus on banking culture, and the broader cultural change agenda; and deliver thought leadership in the cultural change and conduct arenas
- Lead the business development and sales initiatives including bid, proposal and contract / commercial negotiations with our Banking clients
- Lead the FS team, motivating circa 30 change and HR professionals
- Take a significant role in the growth of the team and wider practice, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of team members
Required Skills
The successful candidate will:
- Be credible and confident building new relationships at leadership level
- Be comfortable talking with CROs, CHROs and senior responsible people on topic of conduct, culture and change.
- Have established themselves in the market place as an SME in culture, cultural change and change management practices
- Have undertaken section 166 reviews, internal audits, culture base lining and. Culture change
- Demonstrate capability in one or more of the following areas: Behavioural Change Management; Organisation Design; Talent and Workforce Optimisation
- Demonstrate a proven track record on leading large and multi-disciplinary teams
- Coach and develop team members to ensure excellent client delivery whilst also enabling their career development
- Be able to generate thought leadership, delivering strong viewpoints in the market to both create new thinking and drive new business opportunities
- Have a sales focus, and generated revenue in the region of £5 million per year
- Have excellent personal, written and oral presentation skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders (of all organisational levels)
- Demonstrate a commercial awareness evidenced by an ability to identify business opportunities
Desired Skills and Experience
Sector Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Investment banking and retail banking is critical
- Insurance knowledge and experience, would be desirable
- Qualifications such as: CIPD, Occupational Psychology, MBA, Prince2 and Coaching would be beneficial but not essential
