Job Description:
The Supply Chain Director is a key leadership role in this team, and with their team will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying effective and efficient manufacturing, supply and logistics platforms to support the role out of Nexcel.
The introduction of the Nexcel business is a significant addition to the Castrol capability, and consists of patented powertrain hardware that requires vehicle integration. Crucial to its success will be the effective manufacture supply and logistics for the global automotive market. In addition this role will be responsible for the development of the partnership with Tier 1 manufacturers, supply and logistics operators and a suppliers in the recycling ecosystem. It is a complex and multi-faceted role responsible for the creation of the Ecosystem to support the creation of this new value chain in the short and long term.
The Key Accountabilities that are expected from this role are:-
Development and implementation of Manufacturing strategy
Development and ownership of Automotive Tier 1 manufacturing partnerships
Creation of Supply chain strategy for the Caspian business
Internal interface with Castrol Supply Chain
Development and ownership of the logistics relationships
Strategic mapping of the Last mile approach
Creation of the bespoke lubricant manufacturing strategy

Experience & Expertise
The job holder will have a degree with at least 10 years’ experience in an automotive Tier 1 manufacturer
With proven;
Track record of managing automotive supply chain business
experience in the operation of a just in time Logistics supply chain
Experience of working in collaboration and supplying with multiple automotive OEMs
Excellent influencing skills (from the Board room to the factory floor)
Ability to manage complex projects to completion through fit-for-purpose project management techniques
Excellent written communication and presentation skills
Energy, enthusiasm and a drive to deliver
The ability to take complex issues and problems and articulate them simply and in an engaging, succinct, jargon-free way
Positive can do attitude and able to think outside the box and open to new ideas
