Job Description:
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Master Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

This role is a senior position of responsibility within the Oracle Technology UK & Ireland business unit. Responsibilities



Reporting into the Vice President of Specialist Sales, the Technology Director will be a leading contributor, both individually and as a team member, to provide direction to the sales teams to maximise revenues and bookings for the whole Middleware Portfolio (CAF, Digital, Security and PaaS etc).

Working closely with Product Development, Marketing, Sales Teams, PreSales and Partners, the Technology Director will facilitate, develop and lead programmatic demand generation activities. With a strong technical knowledge foundation, the execution and measurement of the sales initiatives are pivotal to the role. Conducting Oracle’s wealth of expertise and resources is important in order to maximise the impact of demand generating programmes and events. In addition to measuring the success of initiatives together with pipeline management, the Technology Director will be the go-to expert for sales of any of the Middleware Portfolio with close alignment with Product Development.



· Facilitates, develops and leads demand generation activities for the On Premise and PaaS Middleware Portfolio

· Works closely with Product Development, Marketing, Sales, PreSales and Partners

· Knowledge development of sales teams for products and services

· Partners with internal Oracle stakeholders to develop vertical market activities

· Track and measure success of initiatives, manage pipeline and forecasts of the products and services

· Virtual leader for team of c.30 middleware sales and 20 presales





Experience, Skills & Qualifications



· Extensive of experience of Middleware technology sales success with customers

· Proven track record of scaling sales initiatives at a programmatic level

· Highly articulate with excellent communication skills; both internal and external customer communications

· Strong at organising and proritising

· Enthusiasm, energy and ability to evangelize and expand the middleware footprint

· Flexibility, this is a high growth area that requires agility

· Ability to travel 40%, mainly within UK/Ireland market

· Ideally holds a relevant Degree
