Apple is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Senior Director of Product Marketing who will be responsible for Apple’s products in EMEA.

The role will report directly to the Vice President, WW Marketing.

As the Senior Director of Product Marketing, EMEA you will be the champion of a team managing Apple’s product lines, responsible for successful product launches, comprehensive business and market analytics, as well as closely working with Marcom and Corporate Comms to lead demand generation programmes, define and communicate region-unique requirements for future products, and communicate to multiple stakeholders across EMEA as well as the US.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong passion for Apple products in addition to a solid understanding of product marketing and management, the finesse of marketing innovative products, business as well as customer insights that help inform business decisions.

In addition, you will have managed experienced teams and know how to motivate a team as well as creating strong and lasting relationships throughout the organisation.

Description

Provide product leadership from introduction through end-of-life to both the marketing and sales organisations.

Define, develop and drive initiatives that make a difference to the business.

Provide leadership to the team of senior Product Marketing Managers and Directors.

Gather and articulate the specific requirements of the regions to the US team in the most effective way.

Create and deliver formal presentations and lead group discussions on products for a broad range of Apple audiences.

Articulate issues and make clear recommendations.

Police product messaging & positioning across every customer touch point.

Experience in pan-European press briefings and press tours Expand outbound marketing through the introduction of new programs and methods of outreach that drive customer excitement.

Work closely with the WW and European Corp Comms and Marcom teams on joint plans and initiatives.

Is a member of the senior European Marketing management team as well as the overall European Leadership Team.

Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to pursue in future products and technologies.

Define annual product marketing objectives and develops plans to achieve these.

Collect customer requirements for future product development.

Possess expert knowledge of competitive and 3rd party products and strategies.

Make pricing and forecasting recommendations to management and cross-functional teams.

Communicate and position the product in relation to other products and the competition.

Closely follow emerging technology, consumer, and societal trends and make recommendations for how products will leverage or fit into those emerging trends.

In addition to the Product Marketing team, this person also manages teams focused on Business and Education Marketing and Market Intelligence.

Education Details

BS/BA degree, MS/MA/MBA, preferred, but not conditional.

Key Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of Apple products and competitive categories.

Seasoned and highly successful business leader with significant experience in product marketing, preferred but not limited to, consumer electronics, hardware, software industry.

Experience of managing larger, sophisticated teams.

Experience working in a fast moving international environment.

Experience in managing products within a large and diverse region spread geographically with different cultural outlooks.

Must be curious, have a passion for excellence and be able to ask the right questions.

A creative thinker, comfortable navigating complex, matrixed organisations.

Be able to see the big picture and execute in extreme detail.

Excellence in presentation, spoken and written English.

Additional European languages would be an advantage.

The ideal candidate must be a seasoned, highly successful business leader with considerable consumer facing experience. They should be culturally adaptable and will preferably have worked with international responsibilities. 
They will bring an excellent understanding of all aspects of product marketing and solid understanding of marketing in general. Ideally, they will also have a grounding in product launch marketing; and a track record of using data analytics and consumer insight to add value to a business beyond the Marketing function.


We expect the Senior Director, Product Marketing, EMEA to have significant management experience. They will have experienced high- growth environments and will relish its particular challenges. 
The ideal candidate will be creative by nature, have strong strategic skills and will be an excellent communicator, able to adapt their message to different audiences in terms of function, seniority and geography. They will be credible ambassadors for Apple externally and will command respect internally, even with teams that may be geographically dispersed.

The successful candidate must be an intelligent, inspirational leader with a good balance of innovative thinking, marketing expertise and business acumen. They will be hard working and prepared to be hands-on and operational when necessary.

Additional Requirements

Based in Central London with substantial European and US travel.

Fluency in English with fluency in one additional language preferred
