Director Global Channel Eaton Luton

Job Description:
This role will have a significant influence on our business strategy and has wide-ranging global responsibilities. You will be responsible for managing, coaching and developing a team of experienced sales managers and professionals. In addition, you will drive our channel sales strategy, maintain and increase our market share and ensure continuity of strong relationships with our key partners.
Eaton MTL is producing system infrastructure and protection equipment aimed at a range of process industries: Oil and Gas, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and others. This position can be based anywhere in Europe (home office, within 80km from an Eaton site and international airport).
Essential Functions:
• Leading the creation of a sales strategy in order to drive the sales pipeline and ensure revenue growth
• Effectively planning, analysing and managing performance of key channel relationships
• Working with global sales and marketing teams on managing product launches and introducing those new products to our partners with the best financial outcome in view
• Closely working with other parts of Eaton in order to align MTL sales strategy with other parts of the business
• Creating an onboarding programme for new partners
• Providing guidance to regional sales managers on effective partner management
• Supporting our global pricing strategy, ensuring we continue to be competitive and profitable
Qualifications:
• Degree level qualification or equivalent in electrical engineering or business studies
• A postgraduate qualification (e.g. MBA) would be desirable
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation market, technology and customer base at the global level is necessary
• Previous extensive experience in international sales management with a proven track record in achieving profitable growth
• Demonstrating a track record in devising and executing a channel management strategy
• Strong leadership skills
• Capable of influencing people internally and externally
• Analytical, adaptable and capable of managing and motivating people at different locations
