As Director of the ELN you would be responsible for all aspects of the leadership of the organisation. This makes for a varied and demanding role, with the main duties covering the following:
The leadership and development of the ELN staff;
The leadership of the ELN’s policy and research agenda;

Leading fundraising efforts;
Liaising with the Board of Directors;
Responsibility for the financial management of the organisation;
The management of the ELN’s strategic partnerships.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
A clear track-record of publishing on international security issues and/or on the role of Europe in international affairs. Knowledge of the nuclear issue is preferred but the successful applicant need not be an expert on nuclear issues;
A track record of fundraising to support research and policy work;
Experience of, and confidence in, dealing with senior policy-makers and political figures in the day to day conduct of your work;
Previous experience of line-managing staff;
Demonstrated experience of managing projects on time and to budget;
Previous experience of working with the media;
A track record of public speaking on relevant issues;
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Preferably knowledge of the politics of Europe and a working knowledge of at least one European language beyond English.
