Based in London, this role is a key leader and manager within the team, which delivers a breadth of asset management content, including competitor data and industry trends to partners across the firm. This role will lead the day to day activities of the team in London and Asia along with being a senior partner to key business leaders, with an emphasis in Europe and will report to the Global Head of Market Intelligence
Responsibilities

Provide direct management and leadership the Market Intelligence team, based in London and India
Partner with regional corporate strategy teams, with emphasis in EMEA, providing relevant industry insights and business planning support for key growth initiatives
Maintain deep understanding of key market and industry trends affecting the firm and develop/present executive summaries to senior leadership
Direct the team in India and establish streamlined production and cataloging practices for industry reports, data files and other relevant material
Help shape the strategic direction of Market Intelligence and its broader impact/voice in the organization
Oversee and shape team activities that support the global Corporate Strategy agenda, including but not limited to business planning, quarterly business reviews, strategy days and board of director deliverables
Develop external partnerships for industry forums and research organizations that can add further value to internal intelligence efforts
Manage key relationships across all client business teams and investments, including Retail, Institutional, iShares, Alpha and Beta to stay abreast of business level initiatives
Deepen partnerships with all business intelligence teams and help shape firm-wide intelligence forum to stimulate sharing and alignment

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be currently operating in a similar leadership role within Financial Services, with deep asset management industry knowledge
Experience leading and building intelligence and/or research analysis teams
Strong analytical and process-management skills – ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Strong communication skills with an ability to translate results into actionable recommendations and solutions
Passion for developing talent and teams
Experience in strategic project management and working in cross-functional teams
Knowledge of and exposure to the full range of BlackRock’s activities is preferred, including retail and institutional distribution, marketing, active and passive investing and business operations/technology
