The Global Claims Director will be a key contributor to the development of medium and long term Global Claims strategy, working collaboratively with the Market Unit Medical Director, the Director of Health and Benefits and the Global Customer Service Director to create and ratify a cohesive global claims strategy.
The Global Claims Director will lead a Claims Management leadership team consisting of Heads of Department responsible for leading the Claims functions and Claims teams across three regions (Europe, Middle East and China). The Global Claims Director will drive implementation of strategy across the Global Claims function via the Heads of Department.

The role holder will have accountability for the global Claims budget.
Role Responsibility
Global remit across all regions (excluding BGLA) for:
Lead the global Claims Function based across multiple sites via a direct reporting team consisting of Heads of Department based in region to ensure all global service metrics are consistently achieved
Deliver improved efficiencies and effectiveness which reduce the cost to serve and simplify structure and processes for our customers and employees
Ensure globally agreed processes are followed consistently in all locations and are fully compliant with all regulations
Business owner of the commercial agreement with our key service partner(s)
Work in partnership with senior members of the Health and Benefits and Risk and Compliance leadership teams to create strategy and approach for end-to-end Claims management
Identify, develop, lead and implement change programmes which improve the delivery of the customer experience and increase NPS and customer retention.
Accountable for the Global Claims budget
Ensure all employees are competent to undertake their roles, through adherence to the T&C Framework
Develop a team of talent and future leaders for Bupa
Work collaboratively within the regional service model as part of the wider global leadership team to ensure an effective service delivery globally
The Ideal Candidate
Experience of operating in a Director level role in a multi regional/global organisation that services high profile brands.
Claims management professional with significant knowledge of claims management in Health Insurance and market in region.
Proven ability in setting strategy for a large, multi regional Claims function and in implementation via a Senior Claims Leadership team
Sector experience - knowledge of the global health insurance market highly desirable. Knowledge from other financial services industries such as Life Insurance, Retail, Commercial or Investment Banking and Wealth Management
