Job Description
Underwrite new and existing business profitability, accurately and in line with established Underwriting practice.Provide a reference point and training for technical underwriting and product knowledge within the branch.
Assist and coach colleagues with technical and procedural aspects of underwriting, as required.
Be responsible for underwriting control, compliance and audit.
Supply underwriting support to Account Managers as required.
Promote the business through a polite, helpful and willing attitude to all customers and colleagues - internal and external.
Maintain and develop business relationships with intermediaries.
Actively encourage generation of profitable new business.
Respond to customers requests for information.

Progress towards ACII/Qualified ACII.'A' Level or equivalent education.
Strong Interpersonal/communication/sales/negotiation skills.
Technical product knowledge.
PC/mainframe systems/keyboard skills.
