Role Overview: SAP Solution Director, UK &Ireland
Our SAP Solution Directors – acting with high autonomy and real client intimacy – will support the continued growth of HP’s SAP business in the UK& Ireland region by:
Developing HP’s credibility - bringing senior thought leadership and capability in specific Industry verticals and/or SAP Technologies.
Leading the solution selling of strategically important deals to our principal clients, taking full and autonomous accountability for the quality of HP’s SAP solution offerings throughout the bid cycle, including:

Deal qualification;
Deal vision and ’win’ strategy;
Identifying and articulating the client’s business need &business case;
Identifying and articulating the HP value proposition to the client;
Technology assessment and functional fit;
Estimating and sizing (solutions and associated labour);
Planning the delivery (timescales, team structure, methodology);
Preparing and owning content of all HP assets presented to the client;
Building and nurturing the client relationship and intimacy at CxO levels; and
Deal closure and transition to transition delivery.
Coaching and mentoring Solution Architects.
Engaging as an active member of the UK&I SAP Practice leadership.
Personal development to become Head of SAP Solutioning for UK&I, or into an EMEA/WW Senior Solution Director role.
The candidate will be a seasoned SAP practitioner with deep SAP knowledge in the areas of his or her specialisation. They will be well known and highly regarded in the SAP ecosystems and will bring an extensive network of contacts -both within SAP and among numerous SAP clients in the UK&I.

Key objectives and accountabilities:
Sign new business - working as part of the HP pre-sales team, but acting with autonomy as the lead Solutioner on the deal. You will deliver relevant and differentiated solutions to existing and new customers – including complex and outside the norm customer bids.
Management of the commercial proposition during the bid lifecycle.
Post contract award, be part of the initial project delivery leadership team in order to de-risk the project and ensure the project is referenceable.
Building a network of HP pull-through support from all HP capabilities (including Hardware and Software divisions).
Proactively contributes to the body of knowledge within HP’s SAP Practice.
Own partner (including SAP) relationships as appropriate.
To develop own skill set to maintain ‘thought leadership’ status in customers’ and peers’ eyes.
Development of Solution Architects – including mentoring and coaching.
Champion the utilisation and on-going development of HP’s methodologies, tools and capabilities.
Represent HP’s SAP Practice at internal and external events to improve awareness and drive growth.

Expert understanding of Project Management.
Multiple project lifecycles in both Senior Architect and major (5m+) Project Management roles.
Demonstrable experience of solutioning and winning large SAP services deals.
In depth experience of Service Integrator/Consulting practices and methodologies.

Structure:
Executive-level role.
Reports into the UK&I Head of SAP Solutioning.
Member of the extended leadership team of the UK&I SAP Practice.
