Job description
Unique opportunity to develop an innovative global PR programme for one of the most powerful brands and leading energy companies globally. Working in a global virtual team, based in Central London.
You will be responsible for the development and execution of a PR strategy as part of an integrated marketing communications programme. You will be using PR to drive greater value for a range of consumer and B2B brands, supporting brand building globally, especially in developing markets.

To build capability amongst local Brand & Communication managers to effectively deploy PR campaigns, and to measure effectiveness, delivering a favourable return on investment and drive continuous improvement.

Your role will include:
Develop a global overarching PR strategy for Lubricants brands/products, incorporating the specific objectives for each brand and setting clear communication objectives

Develop, deliver, and maintain current global materials for local teams to adapt and deploy supporting: Shell Advance, Shell Helix, Shell Rimula & Rotella, B2B brands and the Technology Leadership programme #

Work closely with Corporate Communications to ensure activities are complementary messages and content are aligned with broader Downstream and Shell Group internal and external messages

Work with the Global Brand Managers and Brand & Communication Managers within Global Marketing Communications to establish PR plans and activities as part of the marketing communications mix

Manage global PR agency from a structural, content and financial perspective and manage relationship on a day to day basis. Specifically: write agency briefs to develop standardised global materials and toolkits for adaptation in local markets, taking into account market specifics, cultural and language differences #

Design centralized processes to deliver the global PR program, including interface and role definitions between global and local teams and wider Shell Group

Desired Skills and Experience
You will need significant hands-on experience in public/media relations, both in traditional and new media.

Proven experience of working in cross cultural environments is critical along with exceptional English written communication skills and the ability to measure results.

This role requires an individual who can work independently, in a challenging environment with multiple stakeholders

You will also have the Digital and social media experience, Consumer, Trade and B2B PR experience. Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into multi-channel strategies and plans
