Finance Director, EMEA
Reporting to Senior Director, Finance EMEA
This position will be responsible for leading a team of finance professionals to provide Revenue Accounting, Financial Planning and Analytical support to meet the EMEA Juniper business objectives. This person must demonstrate the ability to foster strong relationships at all levels in the organisation and an ability to work with peer groups both in EMEA and worldwide.
Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a team of finance professionals by setting individual and team goals/objectives to increase motivation and career development. This team will cover all Financial Planning and Analysis and Revenue Accounting required to support the EMEA Juniper business plus provide business partnering support to the VP of Services.
Continually analyse processes to drive process improvements, efficiency, automation and where appropriate off shore.
Provide analytical support to Financial Controllers including:
Sales Achievement and Margin analysis
Pipeline Analysis
Channel Metrics and Programme support
Revenue forecasting
Opex and headcount management
Ownership and development of Reporting Strategy for EMEA Finance ensuring data is collected efficiently and analysed correctly ensuring decisions can be made both in EMEA and worldwide. The development of systems within Juniper will be a key activity to drive improvement.
Manage the forecasting process for both Sales Achievement, Opex and Headcount
Central communications point to Corp – act as focal point of contact to the Corp group and communicate EMEA specific information and represent EMEA on global task forces.
Manage collation of QBR/QOR and Monthly Business Review packs working in conjunction with the Financial Controllers and to tight deadlines. These packs will form the basis of an EMEA management review of the business and should be developed in accordance with the needs of the business.
Additional reporting will be requirement in the form of scorecards/dashboards.
Full budget responsibility – required to own the annual budget process and the 6 quarterly outlook process. Will need to work closely with the worldwide team and the EMEA team to ensure targets are set in a consistent manner and communicated effectively.
Revenue recognition - team will provide expertise on all aspects of revenue recognition. Ability to support sales to structure deals that allow revenue recognition aligned with Juniper’s Corporate policy.
Provide Business Partnering support to the Service organisation including revenue forecasting and deal analysis.
Key Finance point of contact for end to end business processes, working closely with shared services, ensuring that non standard contracts are managed compliantly and efficiently.
Experience required:
Qualified accountant or MBA with 10 – 15 years’ experience with at least 5 years in a senior position.
Able to demonstrate a successful track record in similar role.
IT industry experience is essential.
Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to perform process analysis with the emphasis on efficiency and process improvement.
Able to lead a team and to interact with other finance teams across Juniper.
Excellent communication skills required.
Able to influence senior management.
Able to work in a dynamic environment and under pressure.
Drive the development of the finance function to support Sales.
