Job description
You will be responsible for creating a portfolio of Commercial Banking customers through business development & promotion of the Metro Bank brand through the local community, whilst consistently delivering an amazing customer service.

Your responsibilities will be as below;
Deliver the Metro Bank brand and business model in your region for Commercial Banking.
Create a portfolio of Commercial Banking customers through promoting, reinforcing & delivering the Metro Bank brand which includes amazing customer service (our customer philosophy), business development & the promotion of Metro Bank through community activity involvement.

Maintenance of this portfolio including the making of effective lending decisions – this will require a strong understanding of all aspects of credit.
You will have autonomy and accountability for business development, local marketing, operational budgets and lending decisions, in support of Metro Bank’s business objectives.
Practice and reinforce correct Metro Bank operational processes to ensure that we get things right for our customers the first time.

Desired Skills and Experience
Proven and successful track record in a commercial banking role
Demonstrable sales proficiency & compliance during customer interactions with business development & products i.e. SME businesses, cash management, not-for profit business, government entities, all types of retail & commercial lending
Exhibits good public speaking skills to market the Metro Bank story as needed
A proven and successful track record in all types of lending with evidence of being able to make effective lending decisions at all levels
Excellent communication and customer/client relationship management skills and strong customer service ethos
Evidence of consistency and career progression to date
Passion for providing amazing customer service
