Job Description:
As the Marketing and Digital Channels Director for EMEA, you will be a senior member of PayPal EMEA's Marketing Leadership Team; you will be a valued counterpart to our Marketing Directors in the UK, Germany, Western Europe and CEE/MEA. No day will be the same in this varied, fast paced and challenging role. You will play a key role in the definition and decision making of PayPal’s marketing strategy in the entire region; represent and hold responsibility for performance marketing and digital channels in our mix; ensure world-class execution; achieve challenging business targets in a highly competitive environment; cover indifferently B2B and B2C marketing.
Your Role Is Altogether Global, Regional And Local. You Will
Have a presence at all levels - connected and in touch with the best in the industry; externally focused to ensure that we best serve, acquire and engage consumers and businesses into the PayPal network.
Be committed to delivering an always greater impact from EMEA marketing. Regionally, at a country level and at a channel level - collaborate directly with other groups - e.g. Product, Sales; take ownership of paid channels, owned channels and marketing workflows enablement.
Lead your team to success and enable success for the rest of the marketing teams - making programs more successful, easier to produce and always more impactful.
Collaborate with your team to take programs from experimentation through A/B testing and iteration into personalization and automation.
Implement and foster world class processes and instrumentation; ensure perfect execution of our digital and performance campaigns through your teams, the PayPal global teams, other EMEA marketing teams and third party agencies and vendors.
With your team, own external relationships with third parties and agencies; internally, build relationships with key global stakeholders (marketing technology, peers in other region).
Requirements
Education:
Master’s degree & or MBA required.
Work Experience:
Success as a marketing leader and as a team leader in a matrix environment.
Experience gained in a position such as: Marketing Director, Head of Marketing, Director of Digital Marketing, Director of Digital Channels, Director of Performance Marketing, Head of Digital Marketing, Director of Digital Channels, and Director of Performance Marketing. Previous experience of leading marketing transformation and structuration in in high growth and highly digital companies. Experience with strategy definition and playing a key role in leadership teams. Experience in both B2B and B2C environments is a plus. Previous meaningful hands-on experience with more than one marketing channels: delivering, measuring and optimizing performance marketing is a must.
Skills & Abilities:
Able to be at the forefront of digital; able to separate valuable trends from fashionable trends. Strong and proven skills in vendor management at a leadership and implementation level. Collaborative and a strong decision maker. Excellent judgement skills based on objective insights and data. At ease in international environments. Able to manage ambiguity with subtleness and tact. Exhibit leadership and a passion for people.
Knowledge: Perfect fluency in quantitative methods and high level analytics is a must.
Fluent in English. Fluency in other European languages is an advantage.
