Job Description:
The Director of Corporate and Commercial will provide leadership and direction on national commercial policy. You will capture business value and will advise and lead on commercial structuring and evaluation of commercial and business risks where Network Rail is making and delivering commitments related to capital projects, other major corporate transactions, new business and service provision.

Essentials
We are looking for an experienced seasoned professional with a very strong background of commercial experience to include negotiation and influencing skills and strong aptitude for interpretative and analytical thinking.
You Will Require
Commercial and contract acumen, with experience in identification and management of complex commercial liabilities and procurement structures, with broad experience of a range of contractual structures and types including procurement, supply, joint ventures, alliance, concessions, disposal/acquisition and settlement
Ability to take a holistic approach to the work of the whole team, with strong communication skills and significant ability to manage time and resource pressures facing the team
Leadership, emotional intelligence and gravitas, with the ability to influence and achieve goals via working through others
Education: Degree or equivalent professional status in business, engineering, financial or legal disciplines, with a strong background and understanding of financial modelling and accounts
