Job Description:
Technical Product Director's primary responsibility is to build products and solutions that deliver on Visa's value proposition for its entire CyberSource client ecosystem, i.e., merchants, acquirer processors, consumers and developers. In this role you will work closely with business unit product managers, engineering, architects, user experience designers and global cross-functional counterparts to develop business/technical requirements and use cases, assess product feature priority, and articulate agile user stories to enable high quality products.

The Technical Product Management organization supports Visa's merchant & acquirer processing product development, including omni-channel payment and commerce management solutions delivered through the Cybersource and Authorize.Net business lines, as well as strategic partnerships.

Job Requirements

•Prior knowledge of Payments and/or high-volume high-availability systems

•Proficiency in elicitation and documentation of business, system, interface and data requirements

•Responsible for overseeing the efficient management of financial accounting systems operations and platform wide product integrations. These include providing SME support to the controllership & product as well as internal teams such as Finance and Treasury to enable payment reconciliation and reporting which facilitates our global footprint expansion

•Excellent communication skills and executive presence

•Ability to work as an effective leader, possess strong influencing and negotiation skills to achieve organizational goals and objectives

•Collaborate with engineering teams to build robust, reliable and scalable payment processing platforms

•Synthesize requirements into a common set of platform and services capabilities

•Partner with business operations and analytics team to build appropriate monitoring capabilities and metrics to monitor the health of the platform and facilitate data driven decision making

•Define product requirements, including the articulation of very clear, thorough and detailed user stories for complex features and product sets

•Be the primary liaison between other business units, BU product managers, engineering and other applicable groups to ensure flawless integration of new and existing feature sets.

•Work very closely with development and QA organizations to ensure technical specifications and the final product meet business requirements

•Be highly execution focused

•Ensure product vision and requirements are designed with long-term vision in mind and can be launched globally with minimal tweaks

•Work closely with senior leadership to provide status, action plan and recommendations

•Perform Go-To-Market activities, working closely with program management, BU product managers, other product teams, finance, operations, legal, compliance, user experience and external partners as required

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience

•Strong technical skills with a sound understanding of system architecture, especially with high volume/high availability systems

•Hands-on software development experience with a focus on test driven development

•Solid knowledge of application security and technologies related to App Serve, database (Relational, MySQL, etc.)

•Experience implementing process improvements; automating data gathering and reporting, establishing quality control measures, and documenting Payment and reporting procedures.

•Expertise in Test Driven Development, mock strategies and Continuous Integration with automated test execution

•Expertise in implementation of solutions in Java/Spring/J2EE technologies and designing REST/SOAP based APIs.

•Experience leading product and delivery scrum teams across geographical locations. Champion in cross-cultural communications

•Experience in supporting an enterprise-level Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery Platform with comprehensive understanding of best practices, processes, and tools

•Exposure to big data and UI technologies

•Utilized and implemented web application firewalls and database firewalls and other third party security controls.

•Designed, configured, and maintained physical and virtual network infrastructure, systems, and software necessary to sustain development and daily IT Operations

•10+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years of technical product/project management

Qualifications

•Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or Engineering
