The Android Platform Partnerships team at Google helps partners realize the mutual benefit from making, distributing and connecting Android-based products for users throughout the world. You will be responsible for leading and negotiating Android-related distribution and business growth agreements for Google services with manufacturers, mobile networks, electronics retailers, and other entities participating in the creation and distribution of Android devices.The role offers the opportunity to work with industry leading Google partners to secure broad distribution of Android devices with Google services and then manage and nurture those relationships on an ongoing basis.
You have have strong negotiation and partnering skills and specific experience with mobile carriers, mobile or CE manufacturers, and retailers. You will be able to work autonomously but also collaboratively with product, engineering, legal, and other partner-facing teams to initiate, support and grow our partner accounts.
Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The team partners with Publishers and App Developers of all sizes to promote their ad inventory, working with Google's broad range of partner solutions including AdSense, DoubleClick Platform Solutions and the Ad Exchange, across mobile, display, and video formats, helping our partners and their audiences get the most out of the web. In addition, the Partnerships team supports Google’s own product teams with essential partnerships to help power Google’s user experiences in search, maps, travel, shopping, payments and more.
Responsibilities
Grow the Android ecosystem in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Drive and execute distribution agreements for Google services on Android devices.
Identify and prioritize partner targets; become an expert on each target’s organization, business model, and strategic priorities.
Work closely with other account teams at Google to develop coordinated account strategy where appropriate. Serve as ongoing Android relationship manager for our agreements, helping to realize and optimize value from the partnership.
Manage critically important network operator relationships in the region.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with the mobile industry’s dynamics, its players and current technologies.
Ability to speak and write in English and German fluently and idiomatically.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with ongoing partner relationship management.
Experience working with mobile network operators.
Strong negotiator with a partnership approach; ability to represent Google in agreement discussions and structure terms to achieve strong ongoing partner alignment.
Ability to interpret legal documents and work with attorneys on specific contract language.
Ability to serve as an advocate for accounts internally and work collaboratively to identify opportunities or resolve issues.
