Equiniti Data Services is a trusted, secure and innovative specialist search organisation. We specialise in large scale tracing programmes covering thousands of individuals. Our clients are diverse from local authorities through to financial services organisations. We have supported our clients on projects such as verification of council tax single person discounts, and supporting the KYC process for financial institutions.

Equiniti Data Services has been identified as a strategic revenue growth area, and the Business Development Director will be responsible for raising awareness of our offering and developing solutions based our core service proposition and the wider Equiniti capability. In keeping with our desire to provide a holistic solution to our clients, the role will involve an element of cross sales activity across all of our group businesses. Equiniti are proud of the diversity of its client base, and this role will allow the successful candidate the opportunity to develop solutions for a variety of clients including SMEs, major corporates, public sector institutions and financial services organisations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Finding, qualifying and assisting in closing new business opportunities where Equiniti can make a difference to its clients. Typically, this will require working towards the creation of unique value propositions which combine capabilities from across the Equiniti Group and its partner companies.
Working with the Managing Director and Operations Director in developing an appropriate understanding of client requirements, Equiniti Win Strategy, Win Themes and Call Plan to build the required relationships to win substantial new business contracts. Such activity will be expected both before and during formal procurement processes.
Leveraging existing Equiniti client relationships to identify where the Data Services products can add value to those clients
Creating and delivering an end to end customer relationship strategy which leads to client acquisition, growth and retention
Building and utilising a strong internal network to deliver client solutions, continue innovation and identify opportunities for growth
Identifying market opportunities or strategic partnerships which would benefit from Equiniti Data Services’ expertise
Producing regular management information on the sales process which will include volume of business, quality of business, growth potential and other commercial metrics for use by the Group Sales Director and others across the Equiniti Group
Contribute towards the further development and embedding of a sales led culture across the Equiniti Group and implementation of the One Equiniti Go To Market programme

Desired Skills and Experience

What are we looking for?

A proven track record in winning new business within either the financial data market or BPO market
Experience of selling to CEO/Board level
Commercially astute with experience of working with bid/deal teams to ensure client solutions are commercially viable
A consultative approach to business development with the ability to identify client needs and provide innovative responses to their individual requirements
