Job description
GE Healthcare Finnamore is seeking a Director to join the governance and leadership practice area, which incorporates the Foresight Centre for Governance. Working closely with the Partners responsible for Leadership and Governance, the Director will support the development and growth of this practice area, to become a significant leadership and governance development partner for the complexity of the 21st century health and social care challenge.
We are seeking talented and experienced candidates for the following role:
Director: Governance and Board development
The role will include:
Developing the Foresight Centre for Governance practice in governance reviews and board development to support health and social care providers, commissioners and wider system governance.
Leading and working in teams to deliver successful client assignments that achieve and exceed clients' expectations.
Building effective long term relationships with clients to help them explore and navigate through their environment and to inform diagnosis and shared collaborative problem-solving.
Striving to be the best you can be through shared learning and training to raise the level of skills across the company and those of our clients.
Playing your part in successful assignments by delivering valued content and insights.
Increasing your understanding of the market to help develop and continuously improve our offers to clients.

Desired Skills and Experience
During your career in consulting, health or social care you've gained experience and skills in Board Development and Governance.
You naturally demonstrate your senior skills and experience in consulting. With an established track record and displaying confidence in what you do, you will also actively seek to continually develop your knowledge and experience in Governance, board development and leadership.
You are regarded as someone who makes things happen. You are self-motivated, have a 'can do' attitude whilst also being aware that you are working as part of a wider team on assignments with budgetary constraints.
Your clients are immediately assured by your gravitas and the credibility you bring, having worked successfully at senior and board level in health and/ or social care.
You also easily demonstrate:
Finely tuned skills in facilitation of senior and/or board level leaders.
Depth in leadership development and senior level coaching expertise either with an organisation or as a consultant.
Excellent conceptual and strategic thinking.
A drive for results and outcomes (not just outputs/process).
Close client relationship management.
A strong track record of having shaped change.
Thought leadership.
As a Director you can also evidence:
A strong track record of business development, sales and achieving a sales target.
A depth of skills in governance and board development.
A presence and natural authority.
Line and people management.
You have experienced first-hand how Governance and Leadership support health and social care organisations. You understand the 'nitty gritty' of how boards and executive teams operate and the impact they can have in shaping change in an organisation and across a health and social care system. You understand the impact of senior decisions and change on the wider workforce.
It is highly likely that you have gained qualifications to Masters degree level. You will also have hands on expertise in at least one of the following;
Executive level Coaching.
Use of a range of 360 and psychometric tools.
You may have also gained further qualifications in project management, operations improvement (eg Lean) etc.
