Job description
This position to be based in EMEIA (London offices or home-office based) is responsible for leading the local Employee and Labour Relations teams and elaborating the people strategy with the regional One People Team, Market Support functions and the Field Leadership Team.
The successful candidate will be an agile leader, trusted business partner with a significant experience in supporting executive/senior leadership team in elaborating people strategies.
Considering the complexity of the employment legislations within EMEIA, the candidate should bring significant experience in guiding multinational companies in how to implement changes and educating on the local requirements whilst maintaining a positive employee and labour relations environment.

The candidate will lead and develop the existing country/local Employee & Labour Relations teams and identify any additional resources and organisational development needs to support our key stakeholders in delivering people solutions.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of this role is to co-create, lead and implement all people strategies and tactics in partnership with the Global ELR Team, the Regional One People Team and the Field Leadership Team.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a highly collaborative, multi-national culture and deeply invested in a consultative HR model. Experience and comfort within a high paced industry are essential and the ability to communicate and implement people strategies and practical solutions in a fast moving environment and in partnership with a wide array of leadership functions will be paramount.

Specific Business Partner Responsibilities
Employee Relations
Partner with the Global ELR function & HR Legal to design global polices in line with the Apple Credo and Business Conduct
Support the creation of local policies
Influence the development of new policies based on local needs or trends
Partner with Loss Prevention, Info Security and Internal Audit on local requirements
Partner with the Global ER function in designing analytical tools to follow ER activities in country
Partner with Global/Regional functions to support process changes based on recurring trends
Provide regular ER trends update to the Senior Leadership Team to address recurring issues
Ensure compliance with labor, employment and health and safety laws and regulations.
Labor Relations
Partner with Corporate teams in the US and in Europe to define social partnership needs based on Global/local initiatives
Educate key business partners to the social partnership requirements to foster proactive partnership
Lead local ELR teams to develop people strategies answering to business needs and social partner demands
Support local leadership teams to define people opportunities
Work with Global engagement & Global ELR to improve engagement tools to quickly identify individual or collective areas of concerns/opportunities
Compensation And Benefits
Work closely with the compensation and benefits teams to develop and deliver C&B programs that are effective and efficient in (countries), aligned to our global C&B philosophy and provide a highly competitive Apple experience for employees.
Payroll
Work closely with the payroll department to address payroll issues, define communication strategies with employees and leadership teams and define process changes to mitigate any future challenges.
ELR Operations
Work closely with the EMEIA Operations Lead to identify opportunities of simplification in the ER processes and administrative activities (employment contracts, reports to local authorities, etc.)
Change Management
Ensure deep understanding of the purpose and impact of all ongoing change initiatives, both inside and outside of the HR/ER function for themselves, their team and business partners.
Partner with and coach own team and senior leaders on building a change agile organisation that embraces innovation and aspires to constantly evolve.
Ensure outstanding employee and customers experiences as part of the implementation.
Leadership Development
Understand the learning and development needs of the organisation and work with Global ELR, Apple University, Global Talent Development to secure and deliver appropriate training and development activities to the organisation to sustain positive employee and labor relation environment.
Ensure the (countries) ELR team is deeply proficient in all learning solutions leveraged in the field and can comfortably facilitate training and coaching sessions to achieve maximum business impact.
Key Qualifications
You will have achieved a track record of consistent success within the Employee & Labor relations function in an international environment having 10+ years of demonstrable leadership experience. Expertise from within the technology or consumer industries is desirable but not essential; experience in the Retail industry is required.
