Job Description
We are looking for an executive level Director/General Manager to establish and lead a greenfield operation. This role will be responsible for building a software experienced team comprising of sales and professional services members and help them thrive and be the engine of growth for our European customers. The Director, Sales and Operations will do that: create, grow, and lead an Global software startup who has considerable traction already in the EMEA region—with the springboard of proven technology, established capital, and functional support.
Join us, and you’ll be responsible for the Sales Strategy, development, and entire P&L of the products and support services related to our software solution portfolio. That’s no small matter, but you’ll have the resources and autonomy to be successful. Focusing initially on the UK market, but in the future, you’ll also address the greater EMEA market.
What’s on your plate?
Market evaluation, sales growth, operational growth, customer success and consulting services as well as financial management with the objective of building a market-leading technology company in the EMEA.
You’ll be a member of the Global Senior Leadership Team, with full P&L responsibility for all aspects of the business line including product strategy, technology alliances, marketing, positioning, sales strategy, customer success, and services development.
Desired Skills & Experience
If you join us, you’ll come on board with significant experience as a senior executive building a successful, high-growth software business, preferably with P&L responsibility from a major provider in the industry. You’ll be equally familiar with the technology aspects of the business as well as the sales / marketing success factors. We’re guessing you round out your resume like this:
10-15+ years of senior executive experience with a vendor specializing in ITSM, BPM, ERP, AGILE or Application lifecycle delivery. Any other Enterprise software Vendor experience or similar enterprise software technology sector will be acceptable.
Entrepreneurial leadership experience with growth-stage, venture-backed companies or high-growth software divisions within larger companies
Proven ability to develop analysis-based strategic plans to penetrate markets and develop successful products
Record of outstanding success at a organizations that prize innovation, collaboration, customer service, and sales results
Communication, leadership, team building, and people management skills that your employees appreciate and competitors envy
Leadership that combines persuasiveness, decisiveness, and competitiveness necessary to motivate a team
MBA preferred
