What are my accountabilities?
- Develop and convert B2B Newsmart sales pipeline.
- Support PIB sales and partnership team to close Newsmart related deals
- Develop and deliver a one year direct B2B sales plan.
- Accountability to develop sales strategy for direct and indirect Newsmart sales
- Management of a c.$750k B2B sales target
- Hire, build and develop a dynamic and high performance sales team
- Articulate and promote a clear value proposition for customers and partners
- Develop and optimize channel partnerships as part of the go-to-market plan
- Ensure that all partnerships are on brand, excel in customer experience, seeking to consistently over satisfy and delight our customers.
- Responsible for relationships at all levels and will focus on new business development.
- Take a lead role in contract negotiations with Newsmart customers.
- Encourage collaboration and gain the trust and support of others internally and externally. Actively engaging with people in other teams and departments to solicit their input and ensure their awareness of key project/initiatives.
What do you need from me?
- Self-motivated salesperson with experience in start-up or small enterprise business
- Extensive experience in Sales role
- Experience in managing a small sales team
- Proven ability to identify and close Saas type software deals up to $500k
- Sales experience to education industry.
- Experience selling a service product into middle to senior management
- Ability to sell consultatively to ensure value of Newsmart is understood.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
