Job Description:
The Account Director – CEEMA is responsible for achieving profitable sales revenues from an assigned group of countries in the CEEMA region. The Account Director works to increase market share and raise the profile of BBC Advertising in the region. As well personally generating sales revenues and maintaining overall responsibility for accounts, the Account Director manages the activities of an internal sales team. In addition, the Account Director remotely manages and influences in-country Reps and Sales Houses providing them with sales tools, presentations and performance coaching. Success in this role relies on an in-depth knowledge of the media industry and a comprehensive understanding of BBC Worldwide Advertising products and services. Outstanding consultative selling skills and the ability to forge relationships at the highest levels in client and agency organisations are critical capabilities. This is a role for an energetic high-achiever who can operate sensitively and effectively across cultures. The ability to motivate the sales team to deliver results and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction is also key to successful performance.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following experience and characteristics:
Strong experience in media sales
Good people management experience – coaching and developing
Previous experience of working in both agency and direct client environments
Influencing senior and C-level Executives
Successful track record of achieving sales targets from complex, high-value sales
Strong experience in International Media Sales
Educated to degree level or equivalent is desirable
