Hotels.com is looking for a driven self-starter to own the EMEA P&L and drive the regional strategy for the 33 EMEA countries. You will be responsible for developing and implementing regional P&L strategies, aligning the marketing channels/marketing spend, understanding our customer base and owning all strategic regional projects.
You will work closely with our Lodging Partner Services group, EMEA brand team as well as the EMEA cross functional marketing teams to define and drive the region's strategy and tactics. You will have an immediate impact and be given the ability to grow and advance in an exciting, fast paced online travel company. This role reports directly to the VP, EMEA hotels.com.

Responsibilities:
Your key focus areas will be:
Shape strategy for the EMEA region - help prioritize portfolio of 33 countries with clear rationale and coordinate closely with finance for prioritization implications
Accountable for P&L (budget) and marketing investment decisions in these markets
Drive the marketing strategy, customer proposition and plan for the relevant countries
Work on cross-functional projects (with Lodging Partner Services, Product and Marketing channels teams) to deliver performance for EMEA which could be regional or Global
Lead the EMEA Marketing Managers / Trading desk team - develop, motivate & guide the team to attain successful outcomes and business objectives
Your responsibilities will therefore include:
Identify and capitalize on opportunities to create demand within the market, substantially grow market share, and focus on long-term strategies and initiatives to drive region
Own the EMEA customer: understand who they are, what their travel patterns are, where they originate from/travel to and how we can grow and retain that base plus gain share of wallet
Bring together various global and regional marketing channels to get a full view of P&L and unlock areas where we should push or pull more
Use all methods of reporting/data available to identify areas of prioritized opportunity for the region
Lead creation of presentations for executive level meetings, interfacing with senior stakeholders from across the business
Partner with supply team to understand key initiatives impacting region and how we should action against those on the demand side
Partner with brand marketing team to help drive region specific offline marketing strategies, including test & learn plan to enhance how the Brand team uses data to inform brand decisions
Identify areas of opportunity and testing within the website, specific to driving upside for the region
Collaborate with Finance, Analytics, Channels to continuously monitor performance and develop recommendations to achieve growth and profit targets
Work closely with Expedia's marketing teams and supply organization to leverage local market knowledge, and to ensure goals are aligned
Benchmark marketing performance across markets, channels and products to stimulate the sharing of best practices
Actively track and respond to competitive threats as needed

Requirements
University degree in Business and/or Marketing; MBA preferred with a demonstrated amount of experience post-MBA ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm;
Previous experience in managing and effectively influencing large matrixed teams in a hyper competitive industry with demonstrated experience delivering large projects
Proven record of business analysis driven and fact based decision making
Familiarity with eCommerce functionality as it relates to web analytics
Demonstrated track record of creative and structured approach to problem solving
Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects / responsibilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly complex issues at all level of an organization
Experience in retail, P&L ownership or a variety of marketing channels is a plus
